Blowed by De Glasblazerij in Leerdam, Netherlands
After blowing the first vase (BLEU), the mould began to be damaged and marked because of the burns on the inside.
During the first Fail, the glass stuck to itself, resulting in an elegant but unwanted shape.
During the second Fail, the mould was not closed properly, resulting in a swollen and heavily marked vase.
In both attempts, the texture of the burnt pine wood was imprinted on the glass, an effect that was not intended. The only texture we were looking for was the one in the middle, made from plaster poured onto crumpled aluminium foil.
